Babes Wodumo Ready To Get Back Into The Dating Scene

Gqom superstar Babes Wodumo recently went on Facebook live and dished out on life after Mampintsha, dating and finding love again, as well as new music and more. The award-winning singer and dancer did not shy away from addressing certain issues, reminding trolls of her sharp tongue.

On the live session, Babes interacted with her fans and responded to some of their burning questions. One fan was curious about her love life and whether she is keen on dating again.

Babes did not hesitate to respond to the fan and said she is horny and lonely but now prefers to date a white man.

“Personally I prefer a white partner because they don’t talk too much. What is your suggestion because I’m really horny and it’s not funny anymore? It’s now getting to my head,” Babes replied.

Other matters Babes addressed was her album release saying she will be releasing one next month. She even spoke about turning down several gigs as she battles to adjust to life after her husband.

Babes also candidly spoke about her struggle with depression and said alcohol helps her relieve the depression.

There were rumours that Babes Wodumo has been left with a ton of debt by her late husband Shimora. A source told Zimoja that Babes lives with her family at her marital home. 

“He has left her in a lot of debt. Luckily, they own the house, but the debt has accumulated,” the friend said as quoted by the blog.

Another source claims, “He was managing all the finances of the business and household. These people met when Babes was very young, he has always been guiding her and taking care of the money. But she now has to manage everything on her own. She is in serious debt.”

“There was a time when they almost lost the house, but it was paid off. But she will recover because shooting Life After Mampintsha, season of their reality show with Showmax. But for now, things are rough and she is taking as many bookings as possible.”

Babes manager and older sister Nondumiso Simelane responded to these rumours by saying, “Who doesn’t have debt bandla. Babes will be fine. She will share her story when she is ready.”

Babes even asked her fans to vote for Kwaito duo Big Nuz at the 17th edition Metro FM Awards. They are nominated under these categories: Song of the Year, Best Duo or Group and Best Kwaito / Gqom Song.

“Siya vota (we are voting). Please vote for Big Nuz. Please make sure you vote for Big Nuz. Guys please do me this favour and vote. I will dance. They've been nominated in the best duo, best kwaito/gqom and song of the year. Please do this for my husband if he were here he would've been happy,” she said.
