True love is hard to find these days, but Archbishop Desmond Tutu and his wife must be doing something right as they prepare to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary. Yes, their 60th!
As a celebration of their love and time together, the Tutus will renew their wedding vows as part of the festivities surrounding their anniversary.
Tutu, who has one of the cutest laughs ever, will tie the knot again with Leah in Cape Town on 2 July and in Soweto on 4 July.
Tutu told Times Media of his relationship with his wife: "Leah has been very good at keeping my head the right size. Once I was driving and when I looked at her she looked slightly more complacent and self-satisfied than usual. When I wondered why‚ she showed me this bumper sticker that said‚ ‘Any woman who wants to be equal to a man has no ambition’. The other day she stuck a notice just beneath the television set in our bedroom that said‚ ‘You are entitled to your wrong opinion’.”
This is such a wonderful story of love. Congrats, Desmond and Leah!
