Dineo Ranaka has been called many things by her haters, most of it about her relationships with different people in her life. Now she has made it clear that she is certainly not “for the streets”.
Anyone who likes memes in international pop culture knows what it means to be labelled “for the streets”. But in case you are not familiar with the term, we’ve got you.
The phrase was popularised by American rapper Future, and when someone is said to be “for the streets”, it means that they have a promiscuous sex life and sleep with many people, or that they are not the type of person anybody should consider settling down with.
Dineo recently took to her Instagram stories to share an image where she suggested that she is certainly not “for the streets”. It is an Instagram “Who’s calling?” filter, which shows a simulated phone call, and is meant to be part of a challenge in which you show how you would respond if a certain person was calling you.
In hers, she was getting a call from “The Streets”. She showed that she would decline the call, as she would rather stay home instead.
In doing this, Dineo is once again addressing all the derogatory things that people often say about her on social media. Since she accidentally revealed that she had gotten divorced from her husband after just one year of marriage, tweeps concluded that she is the reason the marriage ended, and basically labelled her “for the streets”.

She also recently addressed all the other mean things she is called. She said that according to society, she is a bad woman. She has been labelled a bad sister because of her disagreements on The Ranakas, a bad wife because her marriage ended, among many other hurtful things.
But she made it clear that she does not let other people, especially online strangers who don’t even know her, define who she is. She is a strong woman and she knows her worth, no matter what names she is called.
Motherhood seems to be a very rewarding journey for the media personality, especially when she shares snippets of her relationship with her 9 year old daughter. Dineo seems to have raised a firecracker, and we love to see it.
Just recently, young Kopano gave her mother some great dating advice. “Just say bye bye and block them,” she advised, which is hilarious coming from a 9-year old. Dineo clearly gave birth to herself, and her relationship with Kopano is everything we love to see.
