Kairo Owethu Forbes
DJ Zinhle’s oldest daughter is called Kairo Owethu Forbes. She was born on the 8th of July 2015 to DJ Zinhle and her ex-boyfriend- Kiernan Jarryd Forbes (AKA).
Kairo is an Arabic name meaning “victorious one” and is a variant of Cairo while Owethu means “ours”. The two names together mean “Our victorious one.”
At only 7 years old, Kairo is already making boss moves and already has a growing business. During her 7th birthday, her parents helped her launch her new jewellery line called Out of This World in partnership with DJ Zinhle's growing accessories business Era by DJ Zinhle.

Asante Mohosane
DJ Zinhle’s second daughter is called Asante Mohosane. She was born on the 8th of September 2021 and recently celebrated her first birthday.
Asante is a Swahili name meaning “Thank you”. She is DJ Zinhle’s daughter with musician- Murdah Bongz of Black Motion.
Like her big sister, Asante is also a social media celebrity. She has a private Instagram account with over 100K followers.
DJ Zinhle’s husband
DJ Zinhle is married to her long-time boyfriend- Bongani Mohosane (Murdah Bongz) Murdah of the powerhouse musical duo- Black Motion.
The two who are both very accomplished in their individual careers started dating in June 2020 and have quickly become one of South Africa’s best power couples.
After publicly revealing that she didn’t have any intentions of ever getting married and even initially rejecting Murdah Bongz’s proposal, DJ Zinhle recently revealed during an episode of her reality show DJ Zinhle: The Unexpected, that Murdah had paid lobola for her and that she was married.
A few days ago, Murdah Bongz surprised fans when he revealed that the couple might be expecting another child when he shared a video on Instagram with the caption: “Asante younger brother or sister on the way.”
DJ Zinhle’s ex-boyfriend
Before meeting and settling down with Murdah Bongz, DJ Zinhle was in an on-and-off relationship with rapper Kiernan Forbes (AKA) who fathered her first child- Kairo.
In 2020, after lots of ups and downs, the former couple broke up for good. Even though the two didn’t reveal the actual reasons for their breakup besides AKA’s revelation that “there were too many people in the relationship,” some sources reported that Zinhle’s partying with Cassper Nyovest might have had something to do with it.
Despite the breakup, DJ Zinhle and AKA are still on good terms and they share co-parenting responsibilities for their daughter.
