Mthembeni Ndevu, better known by his stage name- Emtee is an award-winning rapper and record producer who shot to national fame in 2015 with the release of his hit song- Roll Up and has been on the rise since then.
One thing that is very clear about Emtee is that he has a very spot for his family- especially his kids and wife.

Who is Emtee’s wife?
Emtee is married to a beautiful young woman called Nicole Kendall Chinsamy. She is a fashion designer and holds a degree in fashion from the Sew Africa Fashion Academy. She reportedly graduated in 2019.
Emtee and Nicole first met in 2012 through a mutual friend and she reportedly fell in love with him at first sight, she was still in high school at the time.
Like all relationships, Emtee and his wife’s relationship has not been all smooth and the two have had their ups and downs some of which have been public.
One of their biggest lows was when in late 2020, Emtee took to Twitter to accuse his wife of physically and emotionally abusing him. He narrated how she and her family had hit, choked and bruised him for years and revealed that he feared for his life.
“I do not want anything now. She calls her very buff brother, uncles and even her mother to come and hit me. Her mother choked me and I saw the evil in her as she was holding me by the throat against the wall. I will die for things I do not know about because of this woman. I don’t know why she always tryna make me feel like I ain’t sh*t when I’m a goat of note. I’m currently tweeting from my big homie crib cos she took the keys to my spot and went to her parents’ naso,” part of his tweet read.
Emtee’s wife denied the allegations and in February 2021 the rapper issued an official apology to his wife and asked for her forgiveness.
“I’d like to apologize to the mother of my children, my wife Nicole. I hope you find it in your heart to forgive me. I love you Mrs Ndevu,” he wrote.
The couple resolved their differences and their relationship seems to be growing stronger with each passing day.
Emtee’s children
Besides being a successful artist and a devoted husband, Emtee is also a proud father of two sons- Avery (born 2015) and Logan (born 2018).
Emtee has always shown the world just how much he loves his sons and the two boys were an inspiration for two of his studio albums. His debut album Avery after his firstborn son was released in December 2015 and his third studio album- Logan after his second son- Logan was released in 2021.
In a past interview with Drum, Emtee revealed that being a father had changed him into a better person as he has learned to be responsible, and respectful, and to make time for his family.
