Sources indicate that the gifted actor is currently not married but he has been married in
the past-
twice and divorced twice.
Hlomla Dandala’s first wife
The first woman that Hlomla Dandala married and divorced is Candy Litchfield. She is a
South African
media personality best known for being a Channel O presenter between 1997 to 2003. She also
co-hosted the
first season of Idols SA in 2002.
Born in Eswatini (formerly Swaziland), Candy first had a taste of fame in 1992 when she was
crowned
Miss World Swaziland and subsequently competed in the Miss World competition the same year.
She worked at Swazi TV for two and a half years before moving to Johannesburg to study film
radio and
television after which she landed a job at Channel O.
It is unclear when Hlomla Dandala and Candy first met but the two reportedly got married in
December
2000.
They welcomed their first child- a daughter called Ziyanda in 2003. Their relationship
started having
problems and in 2005, Hlomla confirmed that he and his wife had separated and she had moved
out of their
marital home.
The pair mended their relationship and after some time got back together. They welcomed
their second
child together but their marriage didn’t last much longer.
In 2013, the talented actor and his first wife divorced amidst allegations that he had been
unfaithful
to Candy and fathered three children with three different women.
A year later after their divorce, Candy filed a petition against Hlomla at the Randburg
Magistrates
court for failing to pay child support for their two children.
Hlomla Dandala’s second wife
A few years after his first marriage ended in divorce, Hlomla Dandala got married again,
this time to a
woman identified as Brenda Nyakudya.
Not much is known about Hlomla Dandala’s second wife but sources claim that she is a
communications
specialist and works as a writer, marketer, counsellor, coach, and podcaster.
Like his first marriage, Hlomla Dandala’s second marriage did not last for long too as
infidelity
allegations emerged, but this time round, Hlomla Dandala’s wife was the one accused of being
unfaithful.
The actor took to social media where he shared photos of his wife and her alleged lover and
accused
her of having an affair at their marital home with their children around.
Although he later deleted the post, Hlomla Dandala’s post had already received reactions
from tweeps
who weighed in on the issue. While some sympathized with him, some described the whole saga
as a “Karma
moment” for the actor for allegedly cheating on his first wife.
