Meet Duduzile Zuma's Siblings And The Entire Zuma's Clan

Duduzile Zuma or Dudu as she is affectionately referred to by her family is Jacob Zuma’s oldest daughter and one of his twenty-something children from his several marriages. 

Although not the oldest of the former head of state’s children, Duduzile is among the most famous of Jacob Zuma’s children, who although quite private, her works in the PR and communications fields as well as her charity works always speak for her.

Dudu was born on 20th May 1984 to Jacob Zuma and his second wife Kate Mantsho who passed on in 2000. Her mother’s passing touched Duduzile so much that she started a charitable foundation in her honour- The Dudu Zuma foundation, which works with underprivileged women and children who are at risk of committing suicide.

Coming from a big polygamous family, Duduzile Zuma has four full siblings and many other half-siblings from her father’s other marriages and relationships. Here is a look at Duduzile Zuma’s siblings, what they do and where they are.

Mxolisi Zuma is Duduzile’s oldest full brother and overall, Zuma’s second-born son. He was born in 1980 to Jacob Zuma and Kate Mantsho while the Zuma’s were in exile in Mozambique.

Although he tries to stay away from the limelight, Mxolisi who is a businessman has made headlines a few times.

Like his father, Mxolisi is also a polygamist man and he has two wives- Phindile Luthuli and Ziyanda Dlamini who is the daughter of King Mswati of Swazi. His second wedding in 2017 was highly publicized and largely covered by the media as it was both extravagant and of course a royalty affair.

Still, in 2017, Mxolisi got involved in a huge corruption scandal after he was accused of allegedly trying to negotiate a bribe with Altech UEC.

Duduzane Zuma is not just one of Duduzile Zuma’s siblings, he is also her closest sibling considering that he is her twin brother.

The hunky heartthrob has been in the news a few too many times, and although not all the times were for good reasons, Duduzane has a way of getting back to Mzansi’s good graces.

Like Mxolisi, Duduzane is also a businessman and he is reportedly a director at a good number of companies. 

Some of his most controversial points in life include his involvement with the infamous Gupta brothers that was highly frowned upon, his involvement in an accident in 2014 that claimed the life of two people after his Porsche collided with a taxi, and of course his remarks that none of his success came from being a president’s son.

Duduzane, who announced that he had interests in running for the presidency at some point, got married to Shanice Stork in 2015. It is reported that he lives in a big mansion in Johannesburg and he loves to drive big cars.

Phumzile Zuma is Duduzile’s only full sister who was born in 1989. Phumzile is a woman of science and she studied Pharmacy at the University of Witwatersrand. She is also a Scientologist.

Unlike her older sisters and brothers, Phumzile is a very private person and not much is known about her. In 2010, she made a rare appearance in public when she gave an opening speech at the Scientology Life Improvement Centre in Johannesburg.

The last of Duduzile Zuma’s full siblings was the late Nhlakanipho Vusi Zuma who passed on in 2018 following Lupus-related complications.

Vusi was born in 1993 to Kate and Jacob Zuma, and although not much was known about him, his family described him as very bright with a big future. His passing left the family devastated and especially his father.

Besides her three remaining full siblings, Duduzile has other half-siblings including Mziwoxolo Edward Zuma who is the oldest of Jacob Zuma’s children and was born by Minah Shongwe.

Msholozi Zuma, Gugulethu Zuma-Ncube, Nokuthula Nomaqhawe Zuma and Thuthukile Xolile Nomonde Zuma, are Duduzile Zuma’s siblings from Jacob Zuma’s marriage to Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma.

She also has other younger siblings from her father’s marriages and relationships to MaNtuli, Gloria Bongekile Ngema, Thobeka Madiba, Priscilla Nonkululeko Mhlongo, Sonono Khoza and Nonkanyiso Chonco (LaConco).

It is not clear whether Duduzile Zuma’s siblings all have a close relationship seeing that it is quite a huge clan, but in the past, Jacob Zuma revealed that he loved all his children and wives equally and we think that it’s all that matters.
