Patrice Motsepe is one of the most influential and successful South Africans whose net
worth earns him a spot as one of the top
ten richest people in South Africa, and by far, the richest black person in South
Africa.
The billionaire who is the founder and CEO of African Rainbow Minerals (ARM,) owner of
Mamelodi Sundowns F.C, and founder of Ubuntu-Botho Investments, is also the current
president of the Confederation of African Football (CAF.)
Besides being the head of some of the biggest companies in the country and continent,
Patrice Motsepe is also the head of one of the most influential families in the country.
He is married to Dr Patience Moloi-Motsepe, and together they have three sons. Take a look
at Patrice Motsepe’s sons who unlike most children born in influential families who live
large on social media, the three have managed to keep a very low profile and they have let
out very little information to the public.
Thlopie Motsepe

Thlopie Motsepe is the eldest of Patrice Motsepe’s sons with his wife Precious. He was born
Thlopane Butana Chane Motsepe on 12th June 1989 and is affectionately known as Thlopie.
The 33-year-old dashing heir of the Motsepe clan is following in the footsteps of his
parents and has already established himself as a budding businessman with some interest in
the family business- and in particular the sports business.
In 2021, Thlopie Motsepe took over as the chairman of Mamelodi Sundowns FC after his father
was elected as the president of the Confederation of African Football (CAF.)
According to his LinkedIn profile, the eldest of Patrice Motsepe’s sons holds a degree in
International Relations and Affairs; Psychology from the University of Witwatersrand.
It is unclear if Thlopie Motsepe is married or not as he keeps a very low profile. What we
know for sure about the Mamelodi Sundowns president is that he has a very sharp taste for
fashion and whenever he steps out he does so in sharp tailored suits that the ladies love.
Kabelo Motsepe

Kabelo Mokotedi Motsepe is the second of Patrice Motsepe’s sons. Like his older brother,
Kabelo is also quite private and it’s difficult to know some of the basic details about his
life including his birthday.
We however think that the young heir has a striking resemblance to his father, what do you think?
Kgosi Motsepe
The third of Patrice Motsepe’s sons is Kgosi Motsepe, who like his older brothers has
managed to maintain a very low profile.
It is unclear exactly when Kgosi was born but sources speculate that he is a 1990s boy and
that he was named after his grandfather- Kgosi Augustine Butana Chaane Motsepe.
Details about the youngest Motsepe’s son’s educational background and career are currently
not available, and neither is his relationship status.
