From friends to lovers
Minnie Dlamini and Quinton Jones became close friends in 2010. Years later, they started casual dating and Quinton decided to make if official during a vacation. In 2016, Dlamini posted beautiful engagement ring pictures captioned, “I said yes.” During this time, their relationship was still under wraps but fans already knew the secret lover was Quinton.

Minnie Dlamini and football star Quinton Jones blew away the whole country with a white wedding held on September 2017.
The ceremony reportedly cost more than R1 million. It was a show stopper with a three-part series dubbed ‘Becoming Mrs. Jones’ that aired on ShowMax. It was held at Lourensford Wine Estate located in Somerset West, Cape Town. Naturally, TV crews were on location to document every moment.
In 2020, the couple welcomed their son making the relationship appear even stronger. Couple goal pictures were all over the internet.

Minnie Dlamini and Quinton Jones divorce
Rumours of trouble in paradise arose as early as 2018, just one year after their dream wedding. This is after a witness confessed to seeing them have a heated argument at the airport. Fast forward to 2022 and things spiralled downwards real quickly.
There were no more couple photos and to top it Minnie dropped ‘Jones’ from her Instagram bio. Dlamini was also spotted without her ring severally. The TV star broke the silence on social media on the 15th of February saying that their divorce was official.

The two cited the reason for separation to be too many changes in motion including devastating losses that came with emotional burdens and post traumatic distress. These outweighed their will to stay together. Minnie assures the public that the two still remain friends, business partners and loving parents to their son.
After the 2018 argument scene at Cape Town International Airport, Minnie said they were lies and that Mr. Jones was not going anywhere. The February announcement was the first official acceptance that the marriage had failed.
