Taking to Instagram to share the exciting news with their fans, Dr. Musa wrote: "11 months ago, I asked the love of my life to be my girlfriend… today she’s my wife. Your cows were well fed Dressed by @lufi_d_ Shot by @communicationsmog"
The pair broke the internet last month when they announced their engagement. They shared few snaps of their engagement and have since been sharing their cute picture on their social media platforms.
Sharing a picture on Instagram, Laurie wrote: "This was the moment that I reminded him that I LOVE my ring and this special proposal so much but I LOVE him evermore.”
They also posted another picture that they say they had taken to send to Laurie's mother and captioned it: “Taking a selfie to send to my mommy. Probably one of my favorite moments from yesterday,” she added. “THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL THE WELL WISHES FROM EACH AND EVERY PERSON. I will make some time to get through allll of them ASAP.”
The couple has managed to keep their relationship private until their engagement. Speaking about their decision to keep their relationship out of the public eye Laurie said they wanted to keep their bubbles for themselves.
She said when the engagement finally happened, she figured that it was the right time for people to know about them.
“We just wanted to keep our little bubble for ourselves for as long as possible and yesterday when he put a ring on it, I was like listen, I think its time, everyone can know now, it is just so well time as well,” said Laurie on Jacaranda FM.
Another former Miss SA who recently gave fans a sneak peek inside her lobola negotiations is Miss Universe's first runner up Dr. Tamaryn Green.
Dr. Tamaryn and her businessman Ze Nxumalo got engaged in April this year, they first went public with their relationship back in 2018 and they were also spotted together at the Style Awards in 2019.
A few days ago, Dr. Tamaryn took to Instagram to share that their lobola negotiations were underway.
She wrote: "The first step of an incredible journey. Lobola negotiations,” she wrote captioning their beautiful pictures in traditional attires.
