AKA Declares His Love For Nadia

Rapper AKA has expressed his love for Nadia Nakai in a recent interview with Drum magazine. The rapper has major plans for his summer music wise, but he had to declare how much he loves his woman. 


AKA told the publication that he feels 'a brand new breath of fresh air' in the Hip Hop genre, but also in his life in general. 

Touching on his love life, AKA said love is definitely in the air for him and Nadia. 

“I am in a fantastic place. Love is in the air. Nadia and I have been together for about a year and just enjoying each other, " he was quoted saying. 


He added that music is what compliments their relationship, “Music always unites us. Both of us being both artists complement our relationship.”


On his summer music wise he said, “I plan to take on festivals and concerts and just keep people entertained this festive season.

“Lemons is arguably one of the most popular songs. Things are going well, it’s gaining momentum and I’m excited.”

It was not all rosy for the couple as Nadia and AKA were marred with allegations of abuse during an international trip. It was alleged that AKA assaulted Nadia in full view of other people however the couple denied this. 


The news was first shared by Daily Sun who alleged that the fight happened at the hotel.

“He allegedly assaulted her at the venue in full view of people. When he arrived at the hotel, he went into a room where she was chilling with other people and allegedly attacked the promoter who had booked them. He allegedly punched him several times and then went back to Nadia. He had to be restrained and once calm, he broke down and cried," said a source to the publication. 

Despite Nadia denying this, the publication continued with the story and it resulted in the couple seeking legal action. 

“It never happened. I was not assaulted in any way. We just got into an argument and that is all,” she said. 

The couple then shared a statement on social media further refuting these claims. 

“What we took to be light interactions with industry peers have been twisted by outsiders. There was no physical or verbal altercation. We are fine and there’s no drama between us.”

"Just to clear the air there was no physical abuse nor verbal altercation between us. we are fine and there's no drama between us, we are basking our individual successes from the amazing trip."

In the legal papers, the couple revealed plans to sue the publication,"It is our further instruction to proceed with civil claims for damages in the amount of R800 000.000 against yourselves." 

Their relationship came shortly after AKA laid Anele Tembe to rest. Nadia was also still signed to Cassper's label and everybody knows that AKA and Cass do not get a long
