to sources, the title of Nelisiwe Sibiya’s husband has not yet been filled as the talented
actress is currently not married.
It is also unclear whether Nelisiwe is currently in a relationship as she has kept her
personal life under lock and key. This has however not stopped netizens from speculating and
until a few months ago, the actress was rumoured to be in a relationship with a fellow
actor- Mike Ndlangamandla who plays the role of Dr Zulu on Durban Gen.
While her marital status remains unclear, it is worth noting that Sibiya was once almost
married to gospel musician- Ayanda Ntanzi.
During a recent interview at Engineer Your Life with Lungelo KM, the Durban
Gen star revealed that she and Ayanda started dating when she was in university and
the two even got engaged. They, however, called off their engagement and broke up in 2019
after realizing that they had different belief systems.

A few months ago, a rumour that Nelisiwe Sibiya was in a relationship with revered sports journalist- Robert Marawa emerged.
The dating rumour was sparked by celebrity tea master- Musa Khawula who took to Twitter to
share a photo collage of the two media personalities along with the caption, “Robert Marawa
(49) allegedly in a relationship with Nelisiwe Sibiya (26)”
Although both Nelisiwe
Sibiya and Marawa did not immediately respond to the dating rumour, during her
interview at Engineer Your Life with Lungelo KM, Sibiya laughed off the claim that
she was dating Marawa. He described Marawa as an amazing man and a good friend but denied
that she was dating him.

Nelisiwe spoke about her childhood and how it helped shape who she is today. Sibiya
revealed that the hardships she went through growing up shaped her into a strong woman and
she
wouldn’t date a weak man.
The actress came from a humble background in KwaZulu Natal. She and her sister were raised
by her mother after her father was shot dead in front of her when she was only eight.
She was molested by someone close to her family but because her molester had money and
power, he was able to silence her family from seeking justice.
Determined to change her fate and that of her family, Nelisiwe Sibiya worked hard and we can all see the results of her efforts. She recently won the Best Actress in Africa Award at the Zikomo Awards.
