Nomzamo Mbatha’s mother is Manatuku Mbatha who was once a teacher and her father was the late Skuta Nxumalo.

What happened to the woman who claimed to be Nomzamo Mbatha’s real mother?
In 2016, a woman from Mpulumanga, Kwa-Zulu Natal identified as Elizabeth Mbatha took to the media to claim that she was Nomzamo Mbatha’s biological mother.
In an interview with Sunday Sun, the woman revealed that she did not want anything from the actress- not money or fame, but just a decent mother-daughter relationship with Nomzamo Mbatha. She further stated that after Nomzamo Mbatha’s family received her lobola, a dark cloud would hang over the actress.
Responding to the claims made by her self-proclaimed biological mother, Nomzamo Mbatha reprimanded the media for using the woman to gain an audience and that she was going to ignore the story out of respect for the woman and herself.
She went on to sympathize with the woman saying that she had probably lost her child somewhere but she was not the one and further advised her to call Khumbulekhaya.
A few days after the woman’s story went viral, Nomzamo Mbatha shared a photo of herself with her mother and sister.
