What was meant to be a celebration of her little one's life turned into a frenzy when tweeps shifted the attention to her former lover and baby daddy. The two are no longer an item as they had broken up months after their son was born. But they continue to co-parent and by the look of things, are fully invested in their son's life.
Pearl has denied the claims of being involved with the multi-millionaire family, as her baby daddy is also not a part of that family. The wealthy family is in the mining industry and have generated so much money, that one of their family members, Nicky Oppenheimer is the wealthiest man in South Africa. His net worth is reportedly R117 billion.
Tweeps quickly got excited for Pearl Modiadie, assuming that she has secured hectares of land for her and her son.
Refuting the claims, Pearl tweeted, "I have no personal affiliation with the Oppenheimer family." She has since deactivated her Twitter account.
Nathaniel is actually a businessman from France who has managed to keep a low profile. Which is also why his relationship with Pearl was not made public knowledge until the birth of their son Lewatle.
Their son recently turned a year old. To celebrate this milestone, they threw a party with family and close friends. Denise Zimba, Lorna Maseko and Thomas Msengana were amongst the attendees. Fans were also beaming at the fact that they got to see Olivier Lewatle Oppenheimer's cute face for the very first time.
"No words, I’m happy. We are so grateful for you. My family & the community I grew up in made this very special day wholesome. It truly takes a village to raise a child and today my little village came through for me in a big way. My sisters Dambuza & Tebo did the decor & entertainment, my uncle did the slaughtering, dad spoke to the ancestors, my friend Nombuso took on the role of photographer & nanny, cousins and aunts took care of catering & umqombothi, a family friend [chef Zondi] baked the birthday cake and parents brought the kids out to celebrate Lewatle with baby daddy and I, just perfect!"
Lewatle also received a special shoutout, "Mom and Dad love you very much! Happy Birthday baby and thank you for giving us the most fulfilling year of our lives."
Fans were very excited to see Pearl and Thomas together and asked her if she would ever return to radio. But she said she has closed that chapter for now, “I do see all of your DMs on the picture that I posted with Thomas. It was so nice to see him after a very long time. But what you guys are saying that ‘we miss you on radio’, it’s so nice to hear that. It’s always nice when people miss you for doing what you do. But that chapter is closed, for now. We could revisit it in the future, but not anytime soon,” she said.
