Pinky Girl’s Tweet About Mpura Clout Chasing?

Tweeps call her out for being desperate for attention.

Pinky Girl might be an aspiring DJ, YouTuber and content creator. However, it can be argued that for the public, she is best known as a reality star who rose in fame as the cousin of none other than Bonang Matheba. However, while the two might have been close during the shooting of the since-cancelled reality show and Matheba’s docu-special A Very Bonang Year.

It seems that the two cousins are not so close anymore. As such, Pinky Girl has been looking to establish herself as a standalone brand. However, her recent tweet seemed to have some thinking that she is still using the acclaim of other ZAlebs for relevance. 

Pinky Girl’s tweet about Mpura clout chasing?

Mongezi Thomas Stuurman, or more popularly known as Mpura, was a stylist and fashion designer who came into acclaim as the Umsebenzi Wethu Amapiano vocalist. His rise to national acclaim was short-lived as he and five other personalities would lose their lives during a tragic drinking and driving incident back in August 2021. 

However, two years later, and Mpura’s memory still lives. Specifically, due to his lockdown Instagram session videos that randomly trend on social media on occasion. Similar to recently when yet another video trended. 
Seeing this seemingly reminded Pinky Girl of the time that Mpura had slid into her DMs. As such, Pinky shared the memory via a tweet. 
But as soon as she sent the tweet, it was immediately met with some backlash. This is as she was accused of being a clout chaser using Mpura’s name in order to trend. 

Pinky was clearly in her feelings about the backlash as she then took to the timeline to show the DM in question. Moreover, she explained that she only tweeted about the matter because of seeing the aforementioned video. 
This however did not stop the backlash. So much so that other tweeps dragged her over the end of her healthy and close relationship with her cousin. Case in point, she was then accused of still wearing some of Matheba’s clothes. 
Earlier before the drama about Mpura, Pinky had posted a suggestive tweet, which was assumed to be directed at her globetrotting cousin. But Pinky Girl then made it clear with her subsequent tweet that not everything that she tweets about will always be about Bonang…
