That same person who once broke your heart. Would you give them a second chance?
Well, some say love is better the second time around. We wouldn’t know because, well, we think exes kind of belong in the past.
However, we’ve seen a couple of celebrities who’ve broken up, only to make up and live happily ever after.
Take Itumeleng Khune and Sbahle Mpisane for example. The “fitness bunny” and the soccer star called it quits in 2016. And we found out via Instagram, of course.
Sbahle informed the nation with the caption: “Not everything works out the way you wish for it to do… Some situations are worth removing yourself away from! I am no longer dating the Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana Bafana goalkeeper anymore sadly.” Wow! So formal, Sbahle.
Anyway, fast forward to 2018, the couple has clearly decided to give love another try. Although they’ve been claiming that they’re just friends, we all know that that’s a code for “lovers." They’ve been hanging out together, going on picnics and weddings. Hmm...must be so nice.
Today Sbahle shared a cute picture of herself and Itu on her Insta stories.
Mpho Maboi and Reneilwe Letsholonyane are also giving us major relationship goals. But they had to go through a break up to get to this point.
In an interview with Bright Rock TV, the TV and radio personality said the split was a bit hard because they broke up while she was pregnant with their son at the time.
“But it had to happen. I think we had to get to a point where we were toxic for each other.”
Mpho added that they managed to deal with everything and that the relationship has been better the second time around.
Yep, it does look like they’re having a great time together. Mpho also confirmed on her Metro FM radio show that she and the soccer player are married. "Yeah, he is now my husband. We got married. It is done." Talk about keeping things on the down-low.
This article wouldn’t be complete without Mapaseka and Thabo Mokwele, of course. After divorcing, the Kaya FM radio personalities decided to work things out. Now that’s real love!
The Mokwele couple explained on Trending SA this week that maturity is the number one thing that’s keeping them strong this time around.
“… You see, most people think love is enough. It’s great to have it, and it’s a great foundation. Maturity, it’s a constant that you must keep working on,” Thabiso said on the show.
“And when maturity exists you can’t help but use it to go through those ups and downs. Because maturity says ‘I have learned from my experiences now I’m using that knowledge.' That’s what maturity does."
This is proof that if at first, you don’t succeed, you’ve got to try again! Are you giving love a second chance this Valentine’s Day?
