Regarded as one of the highest-paid and richest actors in South Africa, Sello Maake kaNcube who also dabbles as a producer and director has been in the film industry for about three decades and in that period he has built his acting brand to great heights.

The actor recently got married and he appears to be happier than we have ever seen him. So who is the woman in his life?

Sello Maake kaNcube’s wife is a woman called Pearl Mpho Mbewe Maake KaNcube. She was born on the 12th of December 1981, which makes her 40 years old. 

According to sources, Pearl Mbewe is a marketing and PR specialist with over 15 years in the field. She is the founder and owner of a Level-1, 100% black-owned advertising and marketing firm called Wisdom Marketing Mobile. 

Sello Maake kaNcube and his wife were first introduced to each other through a business setup, the actor was looking for a management company when Pearl approached him for work related to his brand.

The two hit it off and started dating. Their first date was in December 2020 at Lebo Keswa and Letoya Makhene’s traditional wedding.

Sello Maake and Pearl Mbewe became husband and wife on the 27th of October 2021 when the actor paid lobola for his beautiful bride. The couple who will be celebrating their first wedding anniversary soon have been serving hot goals on social media and we can’t help loving them.    

Before his current marriage, Sello Maake kaNcube was married before but his marriage did not last very long.

His ex-wife is a woman called Palesa Mboweni. The two got married in 2015 and got divorced eight short months later.

Early in the year, the actor took to social media to open up about his failed marriage with Palesa Mboweni whom she described as a con artist.

In a long post, he revealed that the marriage had been “flawed and based on falsehood” and that his ex-wife had even tried to change her children’s surname to his without his knowledge and he learned about it when he eavesdropped on a conversation between his ex-wife and mother. One of the children’s grandmother approached him and accused him of using his money and name to rob them off of their grandchild.

He further advised young people to always carefully do an independent character assessment of their partner before committing to them.

His rant came a few days after the actor discovered during their divorce proceedings that his ex-wife had also lied about owning a wine company called Palesa Wines. Since the couple had been married into a community of property, Sello Maake was entitled to 50% of the property his ex-wife had accumulated during their marriage including shares in the wine company but he later learned that she had lied about it.

During a past interview with Drum magazine, Sello Maake kaNcube revealed that he had six children with six different women but his eldest son had died in a road accident in 2011.

Although he doesn’t have any biological children with his wife yet, Sello Maake kaNcube’s wife has two sons from her previous relationship.
