Who are Shona Ferguson’s parents?
Born Aaron Arthur Ferguson on the 30th of April 1972, in Gaborone, Botswana, Shona Ferguson's parents were the late Peter Harry Ferguson and his mother is Boitshwarelo Mercy Ferguson.
Not much is known about Shona Ferguson’s parents except that his father who was a pastor died on the 29th of April 2019.
The passing of Shona Ferguson’s father greatly affected the late actor who was very close to him. On his father’s first death anniversary, the late Shona took to social media to remember his late father, saying that life was not the same without him and that he would always miss and love him. He also celebrated his father’s heavenly birthdays and paid tribute to him on fathers’ day.
Shona Ferguson’s mother is still alive and reportedly resides in Botswana. While he was alive, Shona Ferguson used to celebrate his mother whenever a chance presented itself. On her big days including her birthdays and mothers day, Shona would post photos of her mother on social media, accompanied by sweet messages to celebrate the woman who gave him life.

Shona Ferguson’s siblings
It is unclear how many children Shona Ferguson’s parents had in total, but during his send off it was revealed that he was the fifth child in his family.
Some of the siblings that Shona left behind include his oldest brother Dominique Ferguson who spoke on behalf of the family during Shona’s funeral and a younger sister called Kiki Nembhard.
During his funeral, Shona Fergurson’s brother Dominique described him as the pillar of the family who loved his family and stood for love and family.
Shona Ferguson’s wife
Even though Shona Ferguson’s life was tragically cut short very early, at least he got to find love and share his life with the love of his life.
Shona Ferguson’s widow is award-winning actress- Connie Ferguson. Connie and Shona were big names in South Africa’s film industry. They jointly founded Fergusons Films in 2010 which has produced some of the biggest shows in the country including The Queen.
Connie and Shona Ferguson met in 2001 in Johannesburg in what Shona would later describe as love at first sight.
The pair got married on 30th November 2001, just four months after meeting and their marriage would last until Shona’s untimely death in 2021, a few months to their 20th wedding anniversary.
The Fergusons were one of the most revered couples in South Africa’s entertainment industry. They were known for their deep love and devotion to one another and their children, their maturity, and of course their ability to successfully mix marriage and business.

Shona Ferguson’s children
Besides being a good son, a brother, and a husband, Shona Ferguson was also a father and a grandfather.
Shona’s marriage to Connie gave him two daughters- Lesedi Matsunyane-Ferguson who was born from Connie’s first marriage, and Alicia Angel Ferguson who was born in 2002.
He also left behind a grandson- Ronewa, a.k.a King Ro who is the son of Lesedi Matsunyane-Ferguson.
