Film and television entrepreneur Connie Ferguson mourns and celebrates the passing of her husband Shona Ferguson today on her Instagram account. Shona died last year on the 31st of July 2021, at only 47 years old and today marks exactly 9 months since his passing. Industry colleagues, friends, and fans of the actor have also continued to honor him since his passing with social media posts under the hashtag, #TheShoGoesOn.

His two daughters, Lesedi and Alicia Fergurson, have also paid tribute to their father, saying how much they miss and love him. Fans and industry mates have since taken to support them during this difficult time, wishing them all the strength they need to pull through.The actress and film executive took to Instagram without much but sharing the date that Shona succumbed to death on.
Fans and fellow comrades have taken to sending her strength and love as they grieve Uncle Sho's passing. Many have told her that Uncle Sho is in a better place now and because he loved her, they hope she will find happiness as well despite her loss.
The Botswana descendant, businessman, and executive producer whose real name is Aaron Arthur Ferguson died at Milpark Hospital after months on end at the ICU, and it was reported following his death that he’d been diagnosed and was taken out by Covid-19 related illnesses. Yesterday would have been his 48th birthday and his family shared their heartfelt messages online.

In celebration of his birthday, the Ferguson family together with the Ferguson Foundation will be launching what they refer to as the inaugural #ShonaFergusonDay to commemorate his well-lived life and legacy through a charitable cause. The Foundation which was founded by both Shona and Connie dedicated to supporting disadvantaged individuals within the African society with the aim of empowering them in business, education, film, and ultimately building industry leaders will visit Emdeni Skills Centre in Soweto where they will be involved in the painting of the center and maintenance of the infrastructure.Speaking to Drum, Shona’s daughter Lesedi Matsunyane-Ferguson said that losing her father was tough and it still is. “It’s honestly been a process that we tackle day by day. He would have been 48 years old, it's still tough,” she says. She added that they usually shared family traditions such as spending their birthdays relaxing indoors and eating their favourite foods. “We normally spend his birthday at home eating his favorite foods and spending time together as a family. It’s always been lowkey vibes with loved ones,” said Lesedi.
Many other actors who have worked for the Ferguson family also shared their birthday wishes under Connie’s Instagram post including Simz Ngema, Zenande Mfenyane, Brenda Ngxoli, and reality TV star Mome Mahlangu and Cash Flow Ngcobo.
Other fans and supporters of the Fergusons shared a series of the couple’s images from their wedding and some recent ones before Shonoa’s passing celebrating their love and sending well wishes to Connie.
