For the Netflix summer celebration, they honoured Shona Ferguson with a portrait. The Late actor and businessman was part of a Netflix series called Kings Of Joburg which left a mark in the hearts of many.

Connie received the portrait in honour of Shona Ferguson.

“Netflix SA, I really have no words! Thank you for honouring #kingSHO in such a special, meaningful way. The tribute painting really captures his essence and his presence was strong at the #netflixsummer celebration! @johnjadamsfit You sir are super talented Thank you for this beautiful painting of the most amazing human I’ve ever known! It truly is special, and the best gift to me and my family. Bless you and bless you,” she wrote.

Connie always honours her late husband on many occasions on social media.
She was a guest on Dineo Ranaka and Sol Phenduka's Kaya FM Breakfast Show 959 Breakfast, where she spoke about this.

“We had this dance planned for our 20th. I remember when he was in hospital I kept on reminding him that he owes me a dance. The very early morning of the 30th I said to him one more day and it didn’t pan out that day.”

She told the hosts how she found out about his death, saying she felt that something was not right that morning.

“I think they told my sister and I that we can go home and freshen up. That morning I was in the shower and something was not sitting right with me. I saw endless missed calls on my phone, and my heart sank. I got an SMS saying I had to be there as quickly as soon as possible. After seeing the look on their faces I knew he had departed.”

“I remember the last thing I said to him and the last thing he said to me before they incubated him. As I was massaging his feet I told him that he is my soul mate. He couldn’t speak because he had a CPAP mask. He pointed at me too. Those were literally the last words spoken to each other before he went under.”

When she won Favourite Personality of the year at the DStv Mzansi Viewers Choice Awards (DMVCA) which was held at the Sun Arena in Pretoria on Saturday, she dedicated her win to her best friend.

"Thank you for your continued love and support! It’s such a blessing to wake up in the morning and go out to do what you love, what gives you purpose! But the bigger blessing is that it gets to be seen and appreciated by millions, and impact lives in one way or the other. God is good and Jesus is Lord! Forever grateful for His love, grace and mercy,” she continued.

The Queen is coming to an end and Connie who played lead, is saddened that it is coming to an end.
