Sorisha Naidoo’s sister is Jailoshini Naidoo. She is an award-winning South African
entertainer who
dabbles as a comedian, radio personality, television personality, actress, voice-over artist
and
businesswoman.
According to several sources, Jailoshini Naidoo was born in April 1977 and she was raised
in Chatsworth
with her siblings.

Jailoshini holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Paediatrics with majors in Drama, English and
Education from
the University of Durban. She also later studied Public Relations at Damelin and
Communications at UNISA.
Before launching her career in the entertainment industry, Jailoshini worked as a Drama and
English

Regarded as one of the top stand-up comedians in Durban, Jailoshini has been featured in
stand-up shows
including Comedy Fever 2010 and Queens of Comedy.

theatres where she has worked are the Playhouse and the Johannesburg Civic Theater. She also
performed at
the Hilton Arts Festival. Additionally, she also performed her own solo play titled At
The Edge,
at a Theatre Festival in India.
Besides her comedy career, Jailoshini is also a revered television and radio personality
who has hosted
a number of shows including SABC 2’s Eastern Mosaic and Mela. She was also
a host on
Lotus FM.
As an actress, Jailoshini has credits in several films including the 2017 film- Keeping
Up with the
Kandasamys and its sequels- Kandasamys: The Wedding and Trippin' with
the Kandasamys.
She was also cast in 3 Days To Go.
She has also had acting roles in television series including Imbewu: The Seed as
well as the
British-American series- Strike Back where she played the role of an Indian
journalist.
