International Awards For Our Ladies

The've definitely raised the SA flag high

It is without a doubt that South Africa has wealth of female celebrities who have placed the country on the international stage, thanks to their incredible talent and hard work.

Some of these women include the likes of Nomzamo Mbatha and Bonang Matheba who have consistently managed to be a shining beacon of hope and inspiration for not only women in South Africa but women in Africa as a whole.

Just recently,  Nomzamo was awarded an International Women of Power Award by Diaspora Dialogues.

Nomzamo Mbatha joins other phenomenal women who have also received awards outside South Africa for their work.

These ladies include the likes of:  Connie Ferguson, Rebecca Malope and Terry Pheto.


Not only did Bonang get the opportunity to be on bigger platforms like the UN debates last year, she also  won an award for the Best Media Personality at the International Recognition Awards in London.

Terry Pheto

Terry Pheto has appeared on several international TV soapies & films that include the Bold and the Beautiful. She won two International awards in 2017 at the International Recognition Awards for Best Actress in a television drama Madiba and Best actress.

Connie Ferguson

Connie Ferguson has become a well-known name in the TV & film industry. She has inspired a lot of women across Africa and last year she was awarded a Glamour Women of the Year Award.

Connie has also featured on the Forbes Magazine cover and is one of the most recognised businesswoman in our entertainment industry.

Rebecca Malope

Rebecca Malope is a well-known gospel singer across the world and her music has become impactful to many.

Last year Malope won a Mzansi Magic  DStv Viewers Choice Award. However, she is no stranger  to bagging awards as she's been receiving accolades for years on end.

Yvonne Chakachaka

Yvonne Chakachaka is one of South Africa's golden ladies who has shared her talent with the rest of the world over the years. In 2017 she received an International Global Good Star and Power award at the BET Awards.

Caster Semenya

Caster Semenya is known for being the fastest runner in the women 800m race.

Last year Caster Semenya received a Wilmar Rudolf Courage Award in the United States of America. She has also won several gold medals at the Olympics.
