Recently I was invited to attend the launch of Democratic Republic at the Da Vinci Hotel in Sandton, Johannesburg. It’s the one store that makes me say, “I want, I want, I want!” to almost each and every clothing item on offer. Their cloths are just so elegant and sexy!

I was told to arrive at the launch in something sexy. So, went with a tight and short LBD. I dressed my lips in pale pink lipstick with a dash of gloss – just enough to give my lips that luscious look.

My outfit was completed by my uber high leopard print platforms which I loved in the beginning of the night and was so eager to remove towards the end of the night.

The crowd was filled with beautiful, sophisticated women with class and expensive taste and who knew a little more than I did about fashion.

I was taken aback, not only by the amount of champagne in my system (no I wasn’t drunk, relax!!!) but also by the beautiful showcase of garments worn by the models striding along the runway.

Everything about this night was amazing – from the location, to the crowd, the amazing food, and especially the part where five lucky guests got to walk away with Democratic Republic accessories. You should’ve seen the envy in my eyes.
