Every year I decide to skip my birthday but this year I decided to face the day head on and come to terms with the fact that I am indeed one year older!

I don’t get to go out much these days unless I am performing, so I figured I may as well use my birthday as an excuse to go big. I invited everyone I have ever known to join me at Movida in Rivonia to celebrate the occasion.

Dressed in a white cocktail dress and heels, (and feeling rather out of my element!) I was determined to remember the night the next day. I managed to put off having shooters until about 11pm, and even then I paced myself for the rest of the night!

It was awesome to have a club packed with friends to help me celebrate and realise that I actually do need to acknowledge my birthday.

So besides having a good time and lots of smiles, I feel exactly the same today as I did yesterday and the day before that. Proving that growing up isn’t so bad after all!
