If you’re into rock, you definitely should know where the slogan “If it’s too loud, you’re too old” comes from…Barney Simon!

Barney and I go back many years. When I was playing drums in my first band when I was just 16, Barney used to judge some of the competitions we entered. There was always a lot of pressure for us to impress him because we admired him so much.

A few years later, I got to spend some more time with Barney as we toured the country judging a competition called Band Up together. So I can honestly say that as awesome as he seems, he is even more awesome in person!
