The Calling is a band that reminds me of my days studying music performance and sound engineering. Their melodies and phrases are what gets me every time. I think its safe to say that they are a classic band.

Here are my three favourite The Calling songs:

1.       The Calling – Adrienne:

When I was younger I had a friend who had a boyfriend named Adrian, and being young and immature we always made fun of him for having a girls name (ignoring the fact that I have a boys name). However, when they broke up because he cheated on her, this song became the anthem that we would all sing to her to make her feel better about the situation. Good times.

2.       The Calling – Things will go my way:

You know those days where you just not sure if you’re on the right life path because one thing after another seems to be going wrong? Like the saying when it rains it pours? Well, this song gave me hope on one of those days that even if its not today, one day things will go my way. Now, I listen to it every time I have a frustrating moment or when something goes wrong.

3.       The Calling – If Only:

This song is a bit more alternative, however there are three things that made me fall in love with it: 1. The drums in the beginning and the verse. I think they just compliment the melody so well. 2. The melody in the chorus is goosebump worthy. 3. Even though the lyrics are about love they aren’t soppy.
