Music is a very big part of my life. I find a lot of inspiration in what musicians create, from the melodies they write to the lyrics they sing.

Although my favourite type of music is Rock, I appreciate other types of music as well.

My feel good song of the week

‘Bingo Players – Cry just a little’

It takes a while to kick in but about one minute in, I get butterflies in my tummy. It just makes me want to get up and dance!

My hair-raising song of the week

‘Evans Blue – Q (The best night of our lives)’

The lyrics in this song really reflect the passion of the band however, just wait until the melody in the chorus hits. It’s pure passion that gives me chills every time…no matter how many times I listen to it.

My favourite video of the week

‘Christina Perri – Jar of Hearts’

Yes, this video is slightly sombre but for the first time in a while I feel that a music video actually makes sense! The video ties in perfectly with what Christina Perri is singing in her lyrics. Watch the full video and listen to the message of the song, then you’ll see why I love this video so much.
