I’ve had my radio show on 91.9 Rock FM on a Monday from 1pm to 4pm since October 2011 and although I am still getting into it, and I’m sure it takes years, I am loving it! You get to giggle on air, and try to build a relationship with the listener. I’m really enjoying that.

Personally I enjoy radio because if I wanted to, I could arrive at the studios in slippers and a gown and nobody listening would even know the difference! I don’t do that but I do like the fact that I can if I wanted to.

Radio is a lot harder than everyone thinks. There seems to be an invisible barrier when you walk into studio that makes you sound dumb as soon as the microphone goes on. There are topics you can’t talk about, things you have to consciously be aware of not saying on air, and specific ways to say other things. So it’s not just your average everyday way of speaking.

Rock FM is a passion for me because I am so involved in the music industry and rock is my genre of choice. Even though it is a 10-month-old station, we are kicking ass!
