I’m approaching my last days in the beautiful Mother Cityand I won’t lie, I’m really sad to be leaving! So this past weekend I made the most of my stay, with plenty of partying and appreciating the city a little more than I have been.
It’s funny how we walk through the same pathway so many times and forget to stop and savour the beauty we’re surrounded by.
In the centre of the city buzz, I spotted a group of young girls dressed in African dance attire. They were breaking it down better than I do on the dance floor!
I think I’ve even learned a thing or two from them that I can work on in terms of improving my dancing skills. I’m so pleased that even in the centre of a city where everything is so modern, there are still people willing to embrace their cultural roots.
I know I’ve mentioned this before but the Neighbourgoods market is just something I can never get enough of. I made a point to pay them one more visit and indulge in their amazing food with no guilt whatsoever…even models have to pig out once in a while! So I helped myself to a lamb burger with caramelised onions and mushroom sauce.
Honestly, my body was not ready for what it had experienced. It left me feeling stuffed but I just couldn’t leave without a Belgium waffle! My life that day was complete. I think that is the one thing I’ll miss the most…
