2026 Zenith Bank Women’s League Second Phase Tips Off in Port Harcourt, Zaria

The second phase of the 2026 Nigeria Basketball Federation and Zenith Bank Plc Women’s Premier League begins today, with Atlantic Conference fixtures scheduled for the Basketball Stadium on Niger Street in Port Harcourt and Savannah Conference games set for the Indoor Hall at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.

Atlantic Conference

  1. Two-time champions MFM Women Basketball enter the Port Harcourt phase as the side to beat after completing the opening phase unbeaten at the Indoor Sports Hall of the National Stadium in Surulere, Lagos.
  2. MFM will open their campaign against IGP Queens, who ended the first phase at the foot of the Atlantic Conference standings without a victory in Lagos.
  3. Victoria Queens, the surprise package of the opening phase, will meet First Deep Water.
  4. First Bank will face reigning champions Dolphins, while Bayelsa Blue Whales and Royal Aces will contest the final game on the opening day.

Dolphins must produce their best basketball to remain in contention for another title and avoid the threat of relegation. IGP Queens are also under pressure to improve their results and secure their top-flight status.

Savannah Conference

  1. Titans and Kada Angels will play the first game in Zaria. Kada Angels were absent from the opening phase in Jos.
  2. NAM Warriors, another team that did not appear in Jos, are scheduled to take on ASO SKY Queens.
  3. Air Warriors will then meet Nasarawa Amazons in the day’s third fixture.
  4. Nigeria Customs and Plateau Rocks will complete Saturday’s programme.

The four highest-ranked teams in each conference will qualify for the Final 8 in Lagos, where this year’s league champion will be decided.
