
Prince Adeboye Anthony Adeyinka, the President’s Senior Special Assistant on Grassroots Sports Development, is set to attend the Nigeria National League (NNL) Annual General Meeting in Owerri, Imo State, on Friday.
The gathering will take place at Rockview Hotel and will be formally opened by Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma. Nigeria Football Federation President Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau and other prominent football stakeholders are also expected at the meeting.

Adeyinka, who also heads NNL team Smart City FC, said his presence would show support for the league’s board as it works to reshape Nigeria’s second-tier competition.
“I am travelling to Owerri on Friday for the NNL AGM to stand behind the work being carried out by the board led by George Aluo to move the league forward,” Adeboye said. He added that fresh initiatives had helped the NNL attract sponsors and win praise from football stakeholders, expressing confidence that those gains would be strengthened during the coming season.
He further thanked Governor Uzodimma for hosting the meeting and praised NNL Chairman George Aluo for leading the league’s reform programme.
