Alansmith Renews Support for 14th Ogunjobi Gold Cup in Ogun State

Alansmith Nigeria Limited has renewed its support for the 14th Ogunjobi Gold Cup, a pre-season competition scheduled for August 13-22 at MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

The partnership underlines the company’s drive to advance Nigerian football and sports infrastructure through international-quality pitches, facilities and technical services.

Alansmith, a FIFA- and CAF-certified Nigerian sports infrastructure firm, will offer technical and strategic assistance throughout the 10-day event. Its role extends beyond tournament sponsorship to supporting the wider improvement of football facilities nationwide.

Quick facts

  • Competition: 14th Ogunjobi Gold Cup
  • Dates: August 13-22
  • Venue: MKO Abiola Stadium, Abeokuta, Ogun State
  • Partner: Alansmith Nigeria Limited
  • Participating club levels: NPFL, NNL and NLO

Joshua Adamu, Alansmith’s chief executive, said the company was pleased to continue its association with the Gold Cup, regarded as one of Nigeria’s leading pre-season tournaments.

He said the competition’s field includes teams from the NPFL, NNL and NLO, but stressed that Alansmith’s contribution was not limited to staging the event.

Adamu said the company views strong infrastructure as essential to football’s progress and is committed to supplying international-standard turf, pitches and sporting facilities where players and clubs can operate at their highest level.

He added that Alansmith’s expanding list of football construction projects reflects a wider effort to reinforce the foundations of the sport in Nigeria.

Current work includes the Grassrunners FC Stadium in Sagamu, NaRoyal FC Stadium in Ilemonan and the Fima FC pitch in Epe, with each project at a different phase of development.

Adamu said the installations being delivered on those sites meet international requirements. The company’s aim, he added, is to complete resilient, high-grade playing surfaces and related facilities quickly, so they can serve clubs and local communities for many years.

The Gold Cup agreement forms part of a broader Alansmith plan to promote football development beyond the tournament, by helping expand access to world-class pitches and modern sports infrastructure throughout Nigeria.
