Arsenal believe they can come out on top in the battle to sign RB Leipzig wide player Antonio Nusa in the January market.
The 21-year-old Norwegian has become an important target for Mikel Arteta, with Arsenal seeking extra attacking depth after a summer that brought several departures.
Leipzig’s unwillingness to lose a player halfway through the campaign, however, could make negotiations difficult.
Quick facts
- Arsenal are tracking RB Leipzig winger Antonio Nusa.
- Nusa is 21 and has impressed during his time in Germany.
- He scored in Leipzig’s 3-2 Champions League loss to Manchester City.
- A possible transfer has been valued at around £45m.
Arsenal have kept close watch on Nusa following his strong displays in Germany. The winger was also among Leipzig’s scorers when they were beaten 3-2 by Manchester City in the Champions League.
The Gunners want another forward when the window reopens after failing to land major summer ambitions, including Morgan Rogers and Vinicius Junior.
Arsenal and Tottenham had already been identified as admirers of Nusa. Arsenal are now said to be confident they can secure the North London attacker’s signing, potentially in a £45m deal.
