Barcelona will be missing defenders Eric García and Jules Koundé when they face Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday, with both sidelined by injury.
García has been ruled out for between three and four weeks, a spell that will keep him out of the match against PSG as well as next weekend’s El Clásico against Real Madrid.
Koundé will likewise be absent for the away game in Paris after picking up an injury. Barcelona are expected to evaluate the Frenchman’s condition before deciding whether he can feature against Real Madrid on October 25.
The two defensive absences create a significant problem for Barcelona ahead of an important period, with two major fixtures arriving within days of each other.
The Catalan club travel to face PSG after recording a 5-2 La Liga victory over Real Betis on Saturday.
Barcelona must now consider their available options at the back for the Paris trip before shifting focus to the upcoming El Clásico.
