Barcelona have verbally agreed a deal with Fenerbahce for the transfer of goalkeeper Dominik Livakovic, with the package reportedly worth €2 million initially and a further €2 million available through add-ons.
The Croatia international is lined up to become Barcelona’s second-choice goalkeeper from June 2027, when veteran Wojciech Szczesny is expected to depart the club.
Although the two teams have settled the terms, Livakovic will not move to Barcelona straight away. The experienced Croatian international is instead expected to remain with his current club for the present campaign on loan.
He would then join the Spanish side after completing that temporary spell, according to the planned arrangement.
The move reflects Barcelona’s long-range strategy for their goalkeeping unit. Following Szczesny’s exit, Livakovic is expected to add experience and provide competition for the starting role.
