Bayer Leverkusen attacker Victor Boniface has entertained fans online after jokingly challenging fellow Nigeria striker Taiwo Awoniyi over a Bentley and a Range Rover said to have a combined value of roughly N800 million.
Boniface filmed the two high-end vehicles before directing the camera towards Awoniyi, who was standing close by.
As he gestured at the cars, the Leverkusen player repeatedly asked in Nigerian Pidgin: “Who get am?”
Awoniyi smiled and rejected any suggestion that the vehicles belonged to him, though Boniface seemed unconvinced by his response.
Boniface then reacted dramatically, saying: “Jesus, Awo? Awoniyi, Bentley? Kai!”
The playful moment quickly drew widespread attention on social media, where supporters enjoyed Awoniyi’s humorous effort to disassociate himself from the costly cars.
It also offered another look at the newly signed striker’s reputation for living a comparatively private life away from football.
While several prominent players frequently display their wealth on social platforms, Awoniyi is widely viewed as someone who keeps his public profile understated.
As a result, the clip gave supporters an uncommon and amusing insight into the off-field friendship between the two Nigerian internationals.
