CANAL+ has won exclusive rights to every UEFA men’s club tournament in Sub-Saharan Africa until 2031, meaning SuperSport will keep showing the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League live for DStv and GOtv customers.
The four-year contract will take effect from the 2027/28 season and will reach more than 40 nations throughout the region.
SuperSport will remain the sole broadcaster of the three competitions in English- and Portuguese-speaking African markets. In French-speaking Africa, the agreement brings complete UEFA Champions League coverage back to CANAL+ Sport channels, which will also carry the Europa League and Conference League.
The new package strengthens CANAL+’s wider sporting offering, featuring the Premier League, LaLiga EA Sports, Ligue 1, the Betway Premiership and the ongoing TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2026.
CANAL+ chief executive Maxime Saada said the company had obtained exclusive coverage of all UEFA men’s club competitions in more than 40 Sub-Saharan African countries for the next four seasons.
“CANAL+ now provides Sub-Saharan Africa’s strongest sports portfolio, and these rights demonstrate that clearly,” Saada said. He also expressed his appreciation to UC3 and Relevent for completing the agreement, which follows comparable arrangements in France, Switzerland, Belgium, Poland and Austria.
