Recognition for Nigeria’s youth programme
In a letter dated July 30, CAVB President and FIVB Executive Vice-President Bouchra Hajji commended Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF) president Engineer Musa Nimrod for leading the country to its first continental crown in the age-group competition.
Hajji said the title demonstrated Nigeria’s sustained focus on developing young players, maintaining discipline and investing in the sport over the long term.
She also praised the NVBF board, coaches, support personnel and players, noting that their collective commitment had showcased the quality of Nigeria’s youth development system.
The CAVB president added that Nigeria’s breakthrough could motivate more youngsters throughout Africa and help accelerate volleyball’s progress across the continent.
Hajji encouraged the federation to use the success as a foundation for further growth. She said she expected this group of players to achieve even more at future African and global competitions.
