Charlton and Bolton Target Wrexham Goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo Amid Exit Talk

Charlton Athletic and Bolton Wanderers are reportedly interested in signing Wrexham goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo.

The 24-year-old’s position at the Welsh club has become uncertain after Anthony Patterson joined from Sunderland.

Patterson is expected to take over as Wrexham’s first-choice keeper.

Okonkwo is therefore anticipated to depart the Red Dragons before the current transfer window closes.

The Nigeria international first moved to Wrexham on a temporary deal from Arsenal in 2023.

Across the past three seasons, he has featured in 108 league matches for the club.

Okonkwo played 39 times for Wrexham last term and has one year remaining on his contract.

He has represented Nigeria on two occasions at senior international level.
