
Defending champions Dolphins Basketball Club began their Atlantic Conference title defence with a 59–46 win against First Deep Water at Lagos National Stadium on Sunday.

Dolphins president Olumide Oyedeji welcomed the opening success and said the team expects to gather further momentum as the competition moves forward.
Former winners First Bank also made a winning start, resisting a late Royal Aces fightback to prevail 58–56 after a closely contested encounter.
Victoria Queens produced the largest victory of the day, racing past IGP Queens 69–39 in the opening fixture on the schedule.
The conference resumes today with Dolphins facing Bayelsa Blue Whales and MFM meeting Victoria Queens. First Bank will play IGP Queens, while Royal Aces take on First Deep Water.
