The African champions produced a determined performance in Haikou but could not overcome the world’s fourth-ranked team.
The loss extended Nigeria’s winless start to the preparation series, after China also claimed the opening contest 70-67.
D’Tigress will meet China again on August 12 in Foshan, bringing the three-game series to a close.
Nigeria will then relocate its training camp to Tenerife. Between August 15 and 24, the team is scheduled to play Spain, the hosts, and Belgium as preparations continue for September’s World Cup in Germany.
