Bayern Munich forward Bryan Zaragoza is poised to move to Espanyol on loan after the La Liga side struck an agreement with the German champions. The 24-year-old has accepted the transfer as Espanyol look to add greater depth and quality to their attack.
The arrangement is understood to contain a purchase option, although reports remain unclear over whether that clause would become compulsory and how much it would cost. For now, the two clubs have agreed on a temporary switch, with the precise financial terms yet to be confirmed.
Zaragoza arrived at Bayern from Granada in 2024 in a transfer valued at approximately €15 million. However, he has found it difficult to secure a regular place in the Bayern team and has subsequently had loan spells with Osasuna, Celta Vigo and Roma.
His time at Celta ended early, leading to a move to Roma for the latter half of the 2025/26 campaign. Zaragoza is now heading back to Spain, aiming to play consistently and rebuild the momentum in his career.
Espanyol regard the Spanish winger as an inventive and adaptable attacking player, capable of operating wide and creating danger in direct one-on-one duels. The proposed transfer would give Bayern room to keep reorganising their squad while offering Zaragoza a fresh chance to make his mark in Spain.
