
Super Eagles goalkeeper Francis Uzoho has delivered an emotional farewell to AC Omonia and everyone associated with the Cypriot First Division side.
The Nigeria international thanked Omonia’s supporters for the warmth and unwavering backing they gave him during his time at the club.
- Uzoho initially moved to Omonia on loan from Deportivo La Coruña in July 2019.
- He returned to the club permanently in the summer of 2021, before now bringing his spell with “The Queen” to an end.
The 2013 FIFA U-17 World Cup winner departs after recording 77 appearances in all competitions. He conceded 84 goals and kept 29 clean sheets during that run.
Reflecting on his time in Cyprus, Uzoho wrote on Instagram that wearing the Omonia badge had given him an unforgettable journey and many treasured memories. He added that representing such a respected club had been a privilege.
The goalkeeper also expressed deep gratitude to the fans, saying their affection from his arrival through to his final day would remain special to him.
Although he admitted that he did not want to leave, Uzoho said the decision was beyond his control. He reaffirmed his love for Omonia before signing off with a final goodbye.
