Glory Ogbonna Returns to Beşiktaş for Second Spell in Turkey

Super Falcons defender Glory Ogbonna has completed a permanent move to Turkish club Beşiktaş.

The 27-year-old is returning for a second spell after previously spending two seasons with the Istanbul side. She played for Israeli club Kiryat Gat last season.

Beşiktaş confirmed that its former defender will strengthen the team’s back line for the coming season, announcing the return of Glory Akumbu Ogbonna, who was born in Nigeria on 25 December 1998.

Ogbonna began her professional career in Sweden with Umeå IK before joining Spain’s Santa Teresa Club Deportivo.

She later spent one season at Turkish club ALG Spor and moved to Beşiktaş in 2023.
