Golden Eaglets, Flamingos Await WAFU B U-17 Draws in Ouagadougou

Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets and Flamingos are set to learn their opponents on September 3, when the draws for two WAFU B Under-17 tournaments are held in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.

The ceremonies will take place at the Stade du 04 Août, with the boys’ Africa Cup of Nations qualifying tournament and the women’s regional competition both included in the programme.

The Golden Eaglets will discover their group-stage path as they launch another bid to reach the continental tournament through the WAFU B qualifying route.

The Flamingos will also be involved, joining six other nations in the second edition of the regional girls’ event.

Nigeria’s opponents in that competition will include Benin Republic, Togo, Ghana, hosts Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire and Niger Republic.

The draw will give both Nigerian sides a better understanding of the assignments awaiting them as preparations continue for their respective regional campaigns.
