Hamburg are weighing a move for Nigeria international Terem Moffi, with the Bundesliga club targeting the striker at French outfit OGC Nice.
The 27-year-old has entered the final 12 months of his Nice contract, while the Ligue 1 side are understood to be open to his departure after excluding him from their plans for the senior team.
Nice paid €22.5 million to sign Moffi three years ago. However, his progress in France was disrupted by several fitness problems, most notably a serious anterior cruciate ligament injury suffered during the 2024/25 campaign.
During the second half of last season, the Nigerian forward continued his career on loan with Portuguese powerhouse FC Porto.
Hamburg believe Moffi’s contract situation and his reduced role at Nice could allow them to negotiate a deal below his original purchase price.
Moffi has registered six goals across 23 appearances for the Super Eagles. His current estimated market value is approximately €8 million.
Beşiktaş are also reportedly monitoring the striker’s situation.
