Juventus may place Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen at the top of their January transfer shortlist.
Sports consultant and lawyer Nicola Penta, who is said to have strong connections within the Juventus hierarchy, believes the signing of a central striker is the club’s main objective. He argued that the available budget should be directed towards a move for Osimhen.
In comments to TMW Radio, Penta said Osimhen had once been the only forward close to completing a switch to Juventus before an unspecified issue brought the proposed transfer to a halt.
He suggested the Turin club could structure a deal with an upfront fee between €30 million and €40 million, followed by instalments to cover the remaining amount.
Osimhen is currently with Galatasaray and has been connected with Juventus in the past. He also demonstrated his ability against the Serie A giants last season, scoring the decisive goal that knocked them out of the UEFA Champions League.
Still, Penta’s remarks should be viewed as his preferred transfer solution rather than evidence that Juventus have submitted an offer or opened formal negotiations with Galatasaray.
