Lagos Hosts National U-15 Table Tennis Championships Featuring 14 States, 20 Clubs

The seventh Adegboyega Efunkoya U-15 National Table Tennis Championships began today at the Indoor Hall of the National Stadium in Surulere, Lagos, with representatives from 14 states and 20 clubs taking part.

Host state Lagos has entered the biggest delegation. Athletes from Delta, Edo, Ekiti, Enugu, Osun, Katsina, Kogi, Kwara, Niger, Ogun, Oyo and Taraba will compete for singles, doubles and mixed-doubles honours.

Neither defending champion will return, as Umar Ayoola and Khadijat Musa are now beyond the age limit. Both championship titles are therefore up for grabs.

A total of 12 prizes will be handed out during the event. The awards will include Most Improved Player and Best Umpire, in addition to the honours for the on-court competitions.
