Liverpool have verbally agreed a deal with Belgian side Genk for the transfer of 18-year-old goalkeeper Lucca Brughmans.
The proposed move is valued at €35 million, with Brughmans due to arrive at Anfield in the summer of 2027. The fee would represent a substantial commitment from the Premier League club as they pursue one of Belgium’s most promising young goalkeepers.
Liverpool have received permission for Brughmans to complete a medical, allowing the next stage of the transfer process to begin. The formal documentation is expected to be completed after those examinations.
Brughmans has established himself as a highly rated prospect during his time with Genk and is now poised for the biggest move of his career. Liverpool see the teenager as a long-term investment for their goalkeeping department.
The transfer has not yet been officially finalised, but the initial agreement puts Brughmans significantly closer to becoming a Liverpool player in 2027. Further formalities are expected to follow once his medical has taken place.
