Manchester City Land Enzo Fernandez in £125m British-Record Transfer

Manchester City have agreed a record-breaking deal to bring Chelsea and Argentina midfielder Enzo Fernandez to the club.

Transfer details

  1. The overall value of the move is understood to be £125m.
  2. Fernandez moved to Chelsea from Benfica in 2023 for £107m, which was then a British-record transfer fee.
  3. His transfer to City matches the £125m Liverpool paid to sign Alexander Isak last summer.
  4. Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea had been pursuing the Argentina international throughout most of the transfer window, but City have now landed their principal target.
  5. Fernandez is due to complete a medical before finalising a long-term contract with the Premier League champions.
